Bit Programmer
Take a screenshot to keep it.
Pick a tile, then tap a square
What you told Bit
Tap a row, then add cards
For grown-ups: what each chapter teaches
- 1 · Instructions: Bit does exactly what it is told, one tap at a time. Let children water the grass on purpose and laugh at the result.
- 2 · Plan a path: the whole program is planned first, then run. Ask “Where will Bit stop?” before pressing Run.
- 3 · Bug hunt: each level starts with a broken program. The red card shows where it went wrong. Praise calm checking, one card at a time.
- 4 · Repeat (loops): a card limit makes the Repeat card necessary. Ask “What keeps happening again?”
- 5 · Buttons (events): each row waits for its button. When the button is pressed, Bit runs that row. Children make their own controls.
- 6 · If: puddles move every run, so only a program that checks with If works every time. The level needs two wins in a row.
- 7 · Build a garden: children design their own level, then program it. Their garden is saved in this browser.
- 8 · Show and tell: their garden plays as a show and ends with a certificate. Invite family to watch and give “two stars and a wish”.
